I got a comment from CBP on this. They claim this woman was driving her "illegal alien boyfriend's" car and refused to show ID when stopped.

Florida requires motorists to show ID during a lawful traffic stop, but idk exactly how that applies to CBP stops. (Any lawyers want to chime in?)

In the story linked above, Florida prison officials let a man's prostate cancer advance and spread until he was paralyzed from the chest down.

When he wrote a letter begging for help, an official responded: "This is not an emergency."

No one covered this lawsuit except me and Prison Legal News.

"Barry Scheck, co-founder and special counsel at the Innocence Project, says in a statement to Reason that the decision is "extremely important," comparing it to a landmark 2011 New Jersey Supreme Court decision, State v. Henderson, that rewrote how courts assessed the reliability of eyewitness identification evidence. "Just as the New Jersey Supreme Court's decision in the Henderson case changed the law in the area of eyewitness identification, was adopted quickly by courts across the country, and brought about an era of science based practices that protected the innocent from wrongful convictions, I believe the Nieves decision will have similar impact," Scheck says.

This quote below is from Tom Murton, who was hired in the 1960s to reform Arkansas' worst prison. The governor fired him less than a year later after he started excavating unmarked graves of murdered inmates and inviting national media to write about it. Ended up running a duck farm.

The true reformer must accept each challenge with the knowledge that ultimately he will be consumed in the process. The cynic quickly steps forward to pose the question: 'Is it worth it?' In that decision, this Court determined that the foreign nationals in question were subject to arrest and detention under Section 1226, and not under Section 1225. See Patel v. Crowley, No. 25-cv-11180, 2025 WL 2996787 (N.D.Ill. Oct. 24, 2025). The Court’s holding to this effect is consistent with the decisions of every one of the 21 district judges in this District who have ruled on this issue as well as with the decisions of well over 100 other district judges from around the country. See, e.g., Berto Mendez v. Noem, No. 2:25-CV-02062-RFB-MDC, 2025 WL 3124285, at *2 (D.Nev. Garcia-Hernandez told The Oregonian that when she stopped at another red light, the ICE agents turned on their emergency lights and pulled her over.

Lafayette saw the prisoners freed from the Bastille and later spent 5 years in an Austrian dungeon. He told all the Philadelphia city leaders, architects, and prison reformers as politely as he could that they didn't know what they were talking about when it came to solitary confinement.

I hope my friends of Pennsylvania will consider the effect this system had on the poor prisoners of the Bastile. I repaired to the scene on the second day ofthe demolition, and found that all the prisoners had been deranged by their solitary confinement, except one, and he had been a prisoner 25 years, and was led forth during the height of the tumultuous riot of the people, whilst engaged in tearing down the building. He looked around in amazement, for he had seen nobody in that space of time ; and before night he was so much affected that he became a confirmed maniac, from which situation he never recovered. "

Man, I love whenever I get to do history research. Today I learned that when Lafayette visited Philadelphia in 1824, city leaders showed him Eastern State Penitentiary, still under construction.

Lafayette's reaction: "What!? have you Bastilles in this country?"
