My talk will discuss human/bog relations and the humanities in the context of peat and moss, a way of thinking-with which I am calling a critical peat/bog studies.

Jenny will be talking about the importance of studying bog bodies and the wider context of human interaction with peatlands.

Qian will be exploring how diverse audiences engage with national heritage institutions and arts festivals in both the UK and China, and how this understanding can be used to improve heritage outreach.

She holds an MA from Newcastle University and a BA from Nanjing University of the Arts, passionate about inclusive programming and amplifying underrepresented voices in global heritage. Qian is currently completing a PhD in Heritage Management at York.
