It’s quite an authoritarian extreme approach (which I’m generally inclined against) but I think it’s brave of them to try - and I certainly support them taking on the social media giants, taking action they believe will improve well-being of people.
Will be interesting to see what changes it brings…

And in so doing, they also shortened probation further, from 9 to 6 months. Which is significant.
This is a good compromise (though one I believe they should have started with).

In many ways yes - but it’s one they created themselves, so zero sympathy.

It does also have some lean on credibility - next time Reeves stands up and gives a speech about how dire everything is, does everyone believe her or think ‘oh we know with Reeves this will be all blown over in two weeks’?

So in theory it could mean drugs that previously weren’t accepted because their cost-benefit ratio was too low, will be (good).
But in practice it may actually mean drug companies propose new medicines with higher prices than they otherwise might have - because they think they will still pass (bad).
