I know I’m a crazy lil guy, but for some reason being headcanoned as some they/hefab as a crazy unreliable person with BPD hurts more than just being called a narcissist. I’ve been abused by 2 narcs in my life. But abused by 8 people who had BPD shit in their brain. I hate unpredictable people

It brought me no joy to go to my therapist and ask “Do I have BPD?” Especially since it was in 2023. I was fucking BROKEN that year. She wasn’t that GOOD of a therapist, but she reassured me that I didn’t have it. More so had traumagenic emotional symptoms that are similar to BPD.

Idk, it’s just I’m so used to being a bullied pariah that people hate that being called a narc is just… better than being called a “BPD girly”. Ftr, I did see my therapists at one point to see if I had BPD. Tested, and it was a no. I DO have bipolar and morbid depression which causes swings in mood

Frankly, popularity fucking terrifies me and since BPD is commonly accepted but NPD isn’t, I prefer to just stick with a small group. I don’t want to let a BUNCH of people at once down for my mental health issues. It’s kind of terrifying, actually.

Another reason I prefer being called a narc than a person with BPD is because I’m used to the fact that I’m a pariah and I would much rather be known as an asshole than someone who may hurt their loved ones for the dumbest shit imaginable. People with NPD aren’t inherently evil, either.

This is not to say that BPD people are bad, no one with a disorder is inherently bad and anyone who thinks so is ableist. Especially since some of my closest friends have it. But I’ve dealt with people that used their BPD as a weapon to hurt me and excuse their BS more than I can count.
