Spot the difference: the state broadcaster (traditionally) tells the story that is embarrassing to the state in terms of state denials.
While Pravda buries it altogether and foregrounds the story that the state wants to get across as a so-called “exclusive”🙃

Instead of this

I think the person who did this is bang to rights over complaints of speculation

either/or = speculation
I assumed = faulty speculation
they need...according to reports = ill-founded speculation

When will hacks realise that speculating about unreliable briefing of hacks is wasting everyone's time?

The state broadcaster is becoming increasingly oppressive in its demand for your data in exchange for accessing material that you have paid for.
You can't get past this paywall...

Despite being owned by us, South Western Railway continues to treat its customers as an inconvenience, skipping stations to make up time, which they said they would avoid.
Real ppl will be late for work so this train can be s bit less late

Struggling to believe someone has put their name to this shit. It’s all based on spinning a line to a gullible hack; “they believe”…”cautious of hubris”…”work ethic intensifying”…”capacity to withstand hangovers growing”…”Farage believes”…”I’m told”…”Lords will prove useful”…”one source”…”I’m told”🤮

From Ethan Croft in last week’s New Statesman.
So, just to be clear, the chief whip, “summoned” suspended Labour MPs, who by definition don’t have the whip and sit as independents?
Part of a “softly-softly” approach, apparently.

The usual bullshit about the public finances. Firstly, £45bn when? Over what period? Secondly, the annual deficit is currently way more than the purely notional “shortfall” of £30bn and cannot be covered by an extra £45bn

The BBC really, really, really needs to stop obsessing about the US,Trump and one murder victim out of many
September 22, 2025 at 6:15 AM
Classic BBC, framing the news in terms of the response of the illegal occupier

From Kevin Maguire in the New Statesman. I suspect this is Louise Haigh. As I said at the time the scumbag in No 10 whining about a “factional hit” is a total hypocrite.
The question is, did Starmer sanction the hit on Haigh, or did unelected officials knife an elected minister off their own bats?

The Bbc, always, always from Trump’s point of view

Well done Tyri Donovan, who went to Blenheim School in Epsom with one of my daughters

Definitely worth staying with the BBC News live blog for updates and insights like this

I think BBC Verify live fact-checking has lost the plot

Note that they’re not even promising to stop hassling you if you give them £12 a month. It’s like a protection racket or kidnappers, coming back for more
August 25, 2025 at 2:21 PM
My Guardian app is close to being unusable with this constant bullying
August 25, 2025 at 2:19 PM
They have resorted to outright lying now.
“Courage…public protection… credible reports”

Sorry, are we talking about the British left or Labour?
