Oof, and I saw composer Mark Isham do a set at The Mint in Hollywood in the early 2000s, but he wasn't the headliner. Who the hell did I go to see there.

I didn't even mention the way that local hotels price-gouge that weekend. It's become a real racket.

Currently it's a race, where tickets are available at dawn the day after Thanksgiving. They sell out in an hour, max. So there's no problem with demand. The owners *can* raise prices and still sell out, though, so why not?
