17th of Nov marks 6 years since the siege of Poly U in Hong Kong, police cleared the area around it with tear gas & blue dyed water cannon & then surrounded the campus
Hong Kongers responded to the calls for help & tried to break the siege.
Some protesters involved are still in Jail.

By the end of the decade, activists had become disillusioned with developments on the continent, and Africa was no longer seen as a place of hope (as depicted in Sans Frontière, 1979). These changing perceptions had implications for activism on the ground in France.
