So I will just say it out loud here, if you are gonna read that book (I have not yet, but a jamelle rec certainly means it's gold) PLEASE consider reading this as well. Possibly one of the best books I have ever read period. Simply extraordinary writing and research. www.amazon.com/Gun-C-J-Chiv...

You’d think these guys would also be pushing heavily for UBI but somehow they haven’t thought this through.

Saw it a few days ago and was wondering about your reaction. :) Looking forward to a longer piece from you (if you're planning on writing one).

This is entirely beside the point, because in that case I would be deciding only for myself, not someone else. :)

Regardless of what people think of the Avatar world, seems a little churlish to get annoyed at a filmmaker for wanting to play around in their own created universe (especially in this case, since it's the only one he's made that he has full control over).

I love love love it, but every time I recommend it to someone they don’t seem lot like it as much as me, haha. Black absurdist comedy played completely straight; John Huston directs, Truman Capote wrote it, Bogart and Lorre star (among others).

My mom tends to prefer classic movies over modern ones: yesterday we watched a little BEAT THE DEVIL (bailed because the quality was sub-par and the subtitles were atrociously awful (probably AI)). Today the goal is either AFRICAN QUEEN or HIS GIRL FRIDAY.

That's an incredible picture.

I got my start as an editor cutting dog shows! Fond memories of the Eukanuba Tournament of Champions, haha, and yes, those dog handlers are craaaaaazy.

I’m having a nervous breakdown just imagining that, lmao.
