That as well, the couple of articles I clicked on state the cap right at the end after large ad gaps and even then it's a suggestion she might not get what she thinks. Pure rage bait.

I've seen this posted all over FB today and as suspected, the comments are a cesspit. The caption intentionally misses out they had the kids whilst the father worked till ill health stopped him. Totally irresponsible reporting.

The desire to make everything the government does dramatic is getting tiresome.

Unfortunately I think until Farage has had a go and failed as spectacularly as Johnson did, many won't accept it was never going to work. Sadly, that means 5 years of Reform in charge...

Near us, they put the Christmas lights up leaving the flags alone. It looks scruffy as hell. The lights are getting formally switched on this Thursday.

I had a great one too but after the pandemic I forgot to go again then learned I was discharged as a patient when I tried booking a check-up. I'm kicking myself every time I fork out to go private.

Agree, the sauce ruins everything it touches.

They did try cutting spending and got absolutely hammered for it because pensioners missed out on their winter wine allowance.

His latest video on the BBC/Trump issue shoehorned Reeves in towards the end. Felt really forced and out of nowhere.

On the day of the vote I saw a few people on FB saying they were going to vote leave just because they didn't like Cameron. They didn't give a shit either way or think anything would change.

To be fair when I was in Germany last year there were panels everywhere, even in the countryside. They are making the switch.

It pisses me off when people scream "hindsight is wonderful" at this inquiry when we had people like this at the time saying what needed to happen and what the consequences would be if ignored. We also had 3 lockdowns due to lessons not being learned. We also had foresight when it badly hit Italy.

And the same fuckers who voted for him will vote for another gobshite with simple soundbite solutions to complex issues having learnt nothing, absolutely nothing from the past 10 years or so.
November 20, 2025 at 10:44 PM
And the same will happen in 4 years time.

I don't get the need for all the other stuff if they are indeed going to introduce legal routes. Unless they think the performative cruelty crap will distract potential reform voters from those legal routes which will inevitably be seen as "open borders".
November 17, 2025 at 5:13 PM
Where does it mention reopening of legal routes? I've not seen that mentioned anywhere.
November 17, 2025 at 2:47 PM
This is what's frustrating. That's all they had to do. Get processing again and clear the backlog. None of this performative cruelty shite that is not going to sway voters to them or reduce asylum claims. Instead, it's pushing voters away. It's undermining everything they do.
November 17, 2025 at 1:20 PM
This is so fucked up... they have lost the plot trying to win favour with voters who will never vote for them. All they had to do was clear the backlog which would end hotel use. Then open safe routes, ending boat crossings.
November 17, 2025 at 8:50 AM
Just process claims in a timely manner. That's the bare minimum they had to do whilst holding their nerve against Reform attacks. The backlog would have cleared and hotel use wouldn't be necessary. Then when the hysteria had died down, reopen safe routes. Small boat crossings pretty much gone.

I still vividly remember when they all told Obama to keep his nose out during the referendum campaign as not to interfere with our democracy...
