I’m gaining quite an appreciation for how well early morning train trips support you being a productivity power house:

* A quiet space to focus
* A place to bat around ideas
* Just enough internet to be productive
* Nice views
* A large latte
* and… Warm toes

Braille has popped up a few times in conversations this week.

It’s not a topic I know a lot about, particularly, when moving beyond digital interfaces.

But I’ve loved learning more about the print side of things this week, and the role of blind typesetters and printers

Also got a Lego fix too.

I had a great day at the UKRI CDT: AI for Digital Media Inclusion event.

It was lovely to meet a group of incredible people dedicated to removing barriers arounds accessing media, information, & services through the thoughtful & innovative use of AI.

About 10 years ago, I was in a UX training course and one of the participants introduced themselves as “one of the team that put brownies in plastic tubs for M&S”.

At the time I was so impressed that changing the packaging from a cardboard box to something a bit more luxurious increased sales.

Covid and Lockdown shone a light on on the challenges and inequalities in our society.

Let’s “Build Back Braver”.
