Rough digital sketch of a human who prefers to sketch on paper. Serak (an orc, in red) and Liirem (an elf, in blue) hold hands and dance, i guess, who knows what they're doing but they're having a lovely and romantic time together, they both look very happy and relaxed. Colors thrown in with some lines drawn on top because I do everything backwards from a normal human for some reason. Liirem has a boring little shirt on but Serak is shirtless bc his back is covered in spikes and I wasn't totally sure how to deal with this design choice when it comes time to design clothing. Compositional circle behind the same old sketch. This will crop out their arms/hands, so there's a new left hand drawn for Liirem in white. "Drawn" and "hand" are both overstating it--it is like a stick with a mitten on the end of it. Serak with a shirt on and Liirem with his new left hand on Serak's orc cheek. Not cropped to the circle here, and without the foliage layer in the final.

Orc Serak and elf Liirem stare lovingly into each other's eyeballs. Serak is red tones, Liirem is blue tones, they both have yellow eyes and use he/him pronouns. Serak has some blue flowers in his hair and Liirem has some yellow orange flowers. They are inside a compositional circle which has some autumn leaves on the bottom of it. This terrible ad reads like not only does Adobe not understand the artists who use(d) their tool, they are ACTIVELY HOSTILE towards artists. It reveals how little they knew or cared about art. It is equal parts hideous and pathetic.

Illustrator has generated a number of flat, poorly vectorized, asymmetrical pastel clip-art-ass daisies, leaves, and dots on a pastel mint-green in the shape of the butterfly, with many weird little errors and inconsistencies that a real artist would now have to waste a bunch of time trying to fix. The final result would perhaps be at home on a toddler shirt bought at Walmart from clearance rack for $4.99 but even then the bright Christmassy red clashing with the baby pastels is baffling.

Okay so at one point I would say I wanted parenting tests, because I was abused. My parents should not have had me, I should not exist, I should have been taken away.

But the thing to check for was "do you think it's cool to kick a child down a staircase if you are sufficiently angry" not... This.
They include interviews with parents and children, a range of cognitive tasks, such as recalling a sequence of numbers backwards, general knowledge quizzes, and personality and emotional testing. Defenders of the tests say they offer a more objective method of assessment than the potentially anecdotal and subjective evidence of social workers and other experts. But critics say they cannot meaningfully predict whether someone will make a good parent. Opponents have also long argued that they are designed around Danish cultural norms and point out they are administered in Danish, rather than Kalaallisut, the mother tongue of most Greenlanders. This can lead to misunderstandings, they say. Keira says the questions she was asked included: "Who is Mother Teresa?" and "How long does it take for the sun's rays to reach the Earth?"

I LOVE writing asshole characters but i typically try to warn people before they engage with them, to set expectations.

I haven't been on Guild War in a minute but Xeikki was like one of my most popular characters despite (because of??) being truly horrible. But I have to be careful how she's used.

Asura lady with too much makeup and a ridiculous overstyled hairdo and piercings makes an unattractively sour face; this is my favorite ever drawing of her i think Xeikki sits in a weird little hovering corner armchair and toys with a shot glass on a little hovering table. I drew her legs too long because asura proportions are difficult. Ears are also too big, but don't tell her that. She speaks to an offscreen listener, maybe the viewer. "Don't you ever miss the Inquest? No, of course you wouldn't."
