Honestly I repair them more out of spite than anything else 😂 it's also just super satisfying and gives me something to do with my hands while I'm watching TV or whatever

Kill the consumer in you that says 'it's cheap, I'll just replace it instead of fixing it'

Recovery is a super long road, and I'm right on it with you. Fortunately, art can be its own kind of therapy, especially if you get yourself a little community to do it with.

Oh man I totally feel you though, I am SO much better a writer than I am an artist 😂

Beautiful! Is this done traditionally? I always love to see a fellow watercolor-er. No shade on digital artists, but sometimes I feel like an endangered animal for exclusively using traditionals for my comics 😂

Eyyyy, VT/NH buddy! Horror/fantasy is the PERFECT genre for our lovely home states 😈

That's so cool that you're having a song recorded from the story! Multimedia stuff like that is the coolest.

If you've been thinking about it that long, clearly it's something worth making! Don't worry too much if it doesn't make sense. Just see what you can put down on paper. You can always go back and refine it later, especially if it's a short story!

Holy cow, this is GORGEOUS! I hope you plan on printing it someday, because I already want a copy just from seeing these couple of pages!

And OOF, I feel you on the buffer vs health issue. But that's why we build up a buffer, right? So we can take time to recover when we need to. Get well soon!

Everyone starts somewhere! The best part of comics is that you'll get a LOT of practice at a lot of different things, so you'll improve really quickly and have the motivation to keep going because you've got a story to tell. You got this!!

Awesome!! Perfect vs finished and figuring out your pace are the two most important lessons in comics, imo. Major kudos for plugging away at it! Let's get to the finish line together!

You and I are complete opposites, drawing it is my least favorite part 😂 but wow, this looks amazing!! Great job!!
December 5, 2025 at 7:57 AM
It looks cute as all getout! And a page every other week is great, you're chipping away at it and that's the important part! I look forward to seeing it on shelves someday!

Oh crud yeah, I always love to see photos used as backgrounds! And the page composition of this is so nice, and the speech bubbles have so much room to breathe! Awesome job.
December 5, 2025 at 7:54 AM
Oh crud yeah, that's how you gotta do it sometimes! Major kudos for getting over the hurdle of starting, that's the hardest part!
December 5, 2025 at 7:52 AM
Oh crud yeah, it's amazing to have a partner in crime for a big comic project! I'm rooting for you!
December 5, 2025 at 7:51 AM
Holy MOLY, the shading and textures of this are incredible! I've always been such a sucker for spot blacks like this. Keep it up!!
December 5, 2025 at 7:50 AM
Oof, I feel the lack of partner so hardcore. I'm more of a writer myself, but since I can't find or afford a reliable artist, I decided I'd just have to do it all myself. The learning curve was STEEP, and I totally get why you're holding out for a partner. My fingers are crossed you find them soon🤞
