“The handshake at the end, it felt like the start of something and not the end of something. It just felt like these two teams are going to be good for a while… the two coaches are young. The two QBs are young… It felt to me like the beginning of something.” - Albert Breer on ESPN 1000 this morning
Via Rob Demovsky, LaFleur when asked about his postgame handshake with Ben: “It was a quick handshake, and we’ll see them again in 2 weeks.”

When asked if there was personal satisfaction after what Ben Johnson said about beating him 2x a year, LaFleur said: “Absolutely not. It’s Packers-Bears.”

Last thing on the Packers for now: The rematch is Saturday, December 20, 7:20 CT kickoff, with potentially first-place back on the line.

Can you imagine that crowd? The stadium will be rockin.

Bears-Rams in 2018 comes to mind as maybe the last night game at Solider Field with stakes that high.

Thought this was an interesting, big picture answer today from Ben Johnson regarding Caleb Williams and his long-term potential.

#Bears coach Ben Johnson on DJ Moore: We just couldn't give him the ball, which that was not the intent. I thought going into the game, we might have had more for him than any other player in the offense. So was a little surprised at the end when I saw the stat sheet for 1 catch.

Ben Johnson said today that he had "no problem" with Caleb's decision to go to Kmet who was open due to his defender covering Swift. Said Caleb was late to the pass which allowed GB to recover. Also said the defender who made the play was initially covering DJ but fell off to make the interception.

Nate Tice on the Bears performance: The Packers, I consider them as one of the top teams, not just in the NFC but in the NFL. The fact that the Bears went toe to toe with them, and made mistakes but still were in it, that’s a sign of growth. They’re way ahead of schedule.

The Bears sit as the current No. 7 seed in the NFC. They'll play three of their final four games at home to finish the season. Highly likely that the final four games will all have playoff and division stakes. Graphic via CHSN.

Jason Lieser: Ben Johnson says the Bears-Packers rivalry is "alive and well" and "it's awesome" that they'll get another shot in two weeks at Soldier Field.

Mike Greenberg: The #Bears lost this battle. But they’re gonna win a lot of wars. Toe to toe at Lambeau, all day. Absolutely great football game.
