A perfect Sunday Randonee Skiing ❄️

Out in nature is a true therapy. Away from worries and screens, it’s the perfect place to be in the moment, reflect and appreciate.

I read Kai-Fu Lee’s book AI Superpowers a few years before the ChatGPT moment.

He called Alpha Go beating Lee Sedol “China’s Sputnik moment” and explains both why China took AI very seriously since then and the resilience of its entrepreneurs.

Beautiful read.

I have been playing with the ElevenLabs Agent API lately.

So here is an example based on Rishiraj Rain’s work on Voice Thingy.

This @huberman episode’s timing couldn’t be any better.

I love to travel for events and meet people but I almost never sleep more than 3h a night.

Can’t wait to listen to this.

This was after @theburningmonk patiently educated me for 30min on DynamoDB and explained how wrong I was 😅

I truly thought it worked just like Cassandra

Nice to meet you Yan!

Bill a true SaaS hero.

I had the pleasure to collaborate with Bill on a webinar a few months, and it’s so cool to finally meet him and discuss the next generation of SaaS.

Can’t wait for our future collaborations.

Believe in Serverless party 🎉 organized by Allen Helton

My favorite thing as a developer advocate is to meet people and fellow DevRels I have interacted with on social.

Look who I found at ClickHouse’s booth.

Ryadh Dahimene Ph.D and I go back almost 20 years when he and El Kindi Rezig competed at Imagine Cup in Algeria 🇩🇿.

I would have never believed then that we would both be here, working for tech startups pushing the frontiers of OLTP and OLAP.

Just touched down in Las Vegas 🇺🇸 after a 15-hour journey from Geneva 🇨🇭 for AWS re:Invent! Kicked things off at the DigitalOcean, Sourcegraph, and Yugabyte party 🎉 connecting with fellow DevRels and enjoying the vibes.

See you all tomorrow at the conference. Come check out Neon at booth 1840.

At GenAI conf, I shared how I broke my forearm skiing 2 years ago, had surgery, and went back skiing with a cast to overcome my mental struggles.

Failing is part of life, and it shouldn’t get on the way of what you love. So keep failing at what you love doing. All you need is to be right once.
