This also helps show just how much anger Shigaraki is holding in. If the supposedly most smart, most prepared man can’t even take in those emotions without ruining his life, how would anyone else be able to? No wonder feelings like those were needed to steal one for all!

If there was one singular moment where it all went wrong for him, it was letting All Might distract him, despite knowing how crucial it is to stay on schedule.

In an emotional sense, he knows 1+1=2 but he doesn’t know WHY that is. And his fight with All Might is the equivalent of taking a rocket science test after only a few days of having to learn as much maths as possible all on his own. If he loses focus, it’s over.

Absorbing Shigaraki’s rage was a gamble far more dangerous for him than even Rewind. He know’s how to toy with the feelings of others. But his own feelings?
