1/2 Centrally, the Protective Services Committee and the Central Bargaining Advisory Work Groups contain OTs and ed workers. At the local level, the composition of Collective Bargaining Committees within Bargaining Units would be a matter of local constitutional requirements.

2/2 Insofar as it's something for the legislature (and not the unions) to abolish, I'd say we need to make it a lobbying point with provincial parties, to start, since making it an electoral issue would take some work.

1/2 I would agree that the SBCBA has not improved things for ed sector unions, insofar as it has structurally distanced members and locals from the bargaining of Central items that may be most important to them.
