Ok fantasy is a catch all term with a lot of sub genres. what kind of fantasy are you looking for? there are literally thousands of fantasy books that don't have faux medieval European settings. Theres urban fantasy, sword and sorcery, epic fantasy, Asian inspired fantasy, etc.
