There are ways, like exercise, good sleep, healthy food, but perhaps the most realisic fix is to perform thought-action defusion. Your feelings do not need to dictate your actions. You can pretend you actually are motivated, and funnily enough, the motivation will often come.

Yes, getting a feel for proportion is the first skill you should learn. You could stick to basic primitives then sculpt them, or you could go for a more layered approach, but knowing how to get everything looking right in relation to everything else is how you go from zero art skill to level one 😊

Learn how to block out the forms of what you see. Lines are just the outline of a form. As you work on the forms, focus on proportion and only when you're happy with the accuracy of the forms should you go in and fill them with detail.

Start broad, and get progressively detailed layer by layer.
