Still on for today but pushed back to noon to let the roads dry. Group ride departs for drop off site at Kissena Velodrome from the "Queens the World's Borough" sign at MacDonald Park, meet there by 1 pm after collecting your food donations.

Meetup is 10am at the QUEENS sign in MacDonald Park at Yellowstone Blvd. Wheels down by 10:15am.

This represents an opportunity to give more parts of Queens not directly bordering the waterfront safe connections to NYC's bike/trail network. Many of our communities would like safer routes to access our waterways, schools and businesses. A better conduit could make this happen.

Last month, NYC DOT announced it would be finally be pushing for improvements along the conduit to make it a safer place for walkers and bikers. Check out our post about the initiative here.
