Minami Lane
A fun, casual, management sim. It absolutely oozes charm, much like Kabuto Park does. Overall it's relatively easy and casual, though I did start to sweat on the fourth mission's optional challenge. Really, you can't go wrong with a game where you can pet lots of cats.

Curious to see the difference at the end of the year from my Last.fm numbers, because 3-5 for artists changed in November.

A Memoir Blue
A quick, aquatic-themed adventure through a young woman's life with her mother. There were definitely good things in it; I appreciate a game going underwater and not terrifying the shit out of me. It felt like it was missing something though and didn't hit for me.

Muv-Luv Unlimited: The Day After - Episode 03
Surely they can't keep milking one man's pain over and over, can they? Tied a lot of threads while leaving so many things to come back to still. The Wardogs were a fun follow, now I eagerly wait for Resonative to ever release.

Muv-Luv Unlimited: The Day After - Episode 02
Hibiki being a reckless, angry, traumatized, short king is never going to get old, nor will the axe bit. Interesting to see more old side-characters show up. The French characterization seems like what you'd expect out of Americans tbh

Harvester
You always were a kidder, Steve. This is a game of all time if I've ever seen one. I'm actually quite impressed by its cutscenes for 1996, but the gameplay sucks. Navigating what to do/where to go is cumbersome and why is there combat? It almost felt half-baked tbh.

Muv-Luv Unlimited: The Day After - Episode 01
A reminder that things can always be worse... like salt flats and giant worms worse. It was foolish of me to not expect to be reading about Japanese diaspora post-Great Ocean Collapse. And Hibiki is an insane bastard of a protagonist.

Dispatch
I really enjoyed this one. More than I expected even. I'll be real, the QTEs suck and it's what made me not really want to try Telltale's games ever. BUT after turning them off my enjoyment skyrocketed. I'd like a 2nd season, even if it's just in-universe. <3 Invisibitch

Muv-Luv Unlimited: The Day After - Episode 00
A whole lot of drama and the typical soul-crushing feelings of the main series. This flipped my opinion on the Unlimited-verse, a salted Earth was a fun way to take things. Last scene with a familiar face returning was perfection.

Sunny Cafe
You don't see a Taiwanese VN every day! I feel bad calling this straight up bad... the music and backgrounds were good? The writing was not good, but maybe there was a loss in translation? Characters look off somehow, minigame was different but not responsive or fun.

Samorost 1
Super short (like 15 minutes) but also super sweet. It's a weird ass puzzle game with a distinct style that just drops you right in, no explanation. It reminded me so much of Poco... granted Samorost is about 22 years older lol. An awesome, free little pickup.

Dear Esther: Landmark Edition
Visually appealing with a good soundtrack, it unfortunately fell flat for me. I enjoyed the island but there wasn't much else there. But there are a lot worse things you could do than spend an hour in a walking sim and checking out cool graphics.

Find Love or Die Trying: Til Death Do Us Part
I wanted to like this so much... but it just didn't hit right and I prefer the original ending. It felt like a watered down add-on sadly. The music and cgs were solid again, but the writing was lacking and we got a Temu Ulalaka now.

Anybody else finish both and have final teams to share?

Pokemon Legends: Z-A
I like that Legends puts a different spin on the main game formula, jough I preferred Arceus’s changes. Finishing some of the story of XY was welcome. The new characters were really fun, I kind of want more of all of them. It wasn’t great, but fun was had.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger
Holy hell this was so much fun! Hands down the best Digimon Story game, and probably best Digimon game overall. It has its flaws *coughDigiFarmcough* but the experience was such a delight that I didn't want it to end. Thank Homeostasis for future DLC.

Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo
So unbelievably charming in every way. There's a lot to love about this game. Enjoyable for almost every part (I curse wrestling to limbo) and surprisingly gut-wrenching at times. The end hit hard and I hope a certain girl's story is told one day.
