More pertinently, they're trying to purge trans people from every field they can, one by one, using whatever spurious argument they can devise and we shouldn't be so gullible as to think this is a legitimate 1A issue.

What does the first amendment have to do with this? Are all essays that cite the Bible immune to bad grades?

the whole thing reminds me a lot of a post i saw, i forget if it was here or elsewhere, went something like "i opened a game's accessibility menu and found a bunch of cheat codes and no option to resize the subtitles"

looks like mettaton, lol

I still use walkthroughs. I don't think that games should be defeat-able by simply knowing what to do.

I kind of hate those things. I think that save states in particular were a mistake, but I recognize where they came from. PC Games emphasized complication and persistence. Arcade Games emphasized pick-up-and-play and ephemerality.

I think there are a lot of ways that games can be designed, for different purposes. I want to see games really push that kind of tight challenge, but I recognize that this isn't always the intention or what people want.

If the game is multiplayer, then yeah, you gotta solve for these, because people try to beat other people by any means allowed within the rules.

So, here's my real stance: Unintended or bad play patterns have a negative effect on the game proportional to their affordance. Something like Save States, very high affordance, very negative impact. A niche infinite using unlocks from the end of the game? Low affordance, low impact.

So then the question is, how could you have an RPG where someone did that still be interesting? I've seen a cool RPG like that before.

Hmm, that sounds nice. There's probably a specialty store that sells them...

It's on fmovies, you can google that

Oh yeah, the game is incredibly dysfunctional, but I like the raw motion of the characters and impact of their attacks a LOT. CotW is like a trade for functional game mechanics against the actual feeling of the game that I enjoyed in the first place.

I like Mark of the Wolves a lot better. Less jump squat, better feeling frame data.

I think the drive meter system in SF6 is cool actually, but I know you hate it because SNK didn't do it. 😜

I'm soooooo sick of meter-only invincible reversals.

The speedrun uses it, you just can't accelerate that way.

Maia Arson Crimew is one of the hackers of our generation, but she'll never appear on the silver screen. This is a disgrace for the medium.

WE NEED A TRANSSEXUAL REMAKE OF HACKERS

I watched that film recently and you just know Elon Musk would be the guy sliding into the office on a skateboard.
