Omg I STRUGGLED with this for my first novella Peace In The Sky, where the whole plot is the main character trying to figure out her identity. If I compare it to other books with (X type of character) in it, I ruin the surprise. But then people who LOVE (X type) might not find it. 😖

Honestly I think the rush to market books has publicists giving up a book's secrets before you even read it more than used to be the case.

I wonder how different this week would have been if the Girl Guides' statement had said "we're closing the Girl Guides with immediate effect due to legal threats by transphobic organisations funded by JK Rowling, which we cannot afford to contest".
