Might be easier to stop people like Spc. Sarah Beckworth's murderer if you didn't send your domestic terrorism agents off to do political stunts.

It seems sort of notable they keep going after people who are both figurative and literal Boy Scouts

This is depressing. The State Dept. posting very literal xenophobia from its official account.

OK, not letting that feeling turn into demoralization. Hammering it into resolve instead.

Good relations between POTUS and the mayor of the USA's largest city are only sensible. I don't want to tease him over the only morsel of sense we've seen from the Administration in months, no matter how he came to it.

If "collective punishment on demographic categories" is how the USA works now, what punishment shall rich old white men receive?

Early efforts at ideological manipulation of LLMs were hamhanded and bizarre ("white genocide in South Africa") but clearly the Grok engineers have been hard at work!

A Baptist minister, rather than a (Catholic or Episcopal) priest. Pedantic, I know, but the decidedly non-Southern Baptists of ABCUSA deserve credit when they earn it.

Norms, common sense, and expectation of good faith aren't going to do in the future. Everything, everything is going to have to be carefully airtight law with painfully specific definitions. That's going to a pain but I don't see any alternatives.

Suppose the defense sends a Subway sandwich platter to the jury deliberation room with a note saying "FOOD FIGHT!"

Principle, but also wise self-protection. One "I'm a white man and PyCon rejected my talk" or "their Code of Conduct is woke" tweet, boosted by an influencer, could bring a catastrophic clawback of past NSF awards.

I'm a fanatic blood donor, but "give your forever chemicals to somebody else" feels a little less altruistic than I'd like! I guess it's "when it's the least of their concerns"...

(My wife got 2 badly-needed units in Jan - thank you donors!)
