Information pollution is unethical and can be deadly. Sad.
This is one of the clearest examples of a disordered counterpublic capturing an institution I've seen. It's nice to have your work proven on a regular basis, but also very bad.

South Carolina schools recently sent home unvaccinated kids to stem a growing measles outbreak. It turned out 5 of them were infected and, if they'd been at school, could've unwittingly spread it to their classmates for days.
