That heavy sigh you're hearing is me after reading this post 😤

What a disappointment. All of it.

highly recommend anyone new in this space to buy pylons and just put them out - drivers care much more about pylons than children on the street

In Canada you get access to more parental leave if it's shared between two partners and it can add up to about 1.5 years. This is relatively new (less than 4 years), but I'm sure it's being studied.

And she'll be pointing things out to you too. It's so special, enjoy all of those moments!

Yup. Booster seats are a bit more portable, but that's not an option until kids are around 5-8.

It also makes carshare, rideshare or taxis more complicated or fraught.

Exactly.

Daycare pickup and immediately into a car is so rotten for both kids and parents. That should be a time for connection not stress and separation.

Quick Cranks and Full Cycle usually have pretty good stock and inventory online. Does your trike have standard size wheels? If so, any winter tires will probably work though there are some that might be better for a heavier load (we use Schwalbe Marathon Winter).

Yay! E-bikes are incredible. And I definitely recommend going into some shops and learning which one (with UL certified battery) is best for you.

Teslica and Repair & Run? It looks like both have moved, possibly to bigger locations. Scooteretti is too. Hopefully good news.

Related, I've had two people this week tell me bike shops are selling out of studded tires & ordering more (even when they had ordered more for this year than ever)!

And my colleague Felicity and I (inadvertently) continue our challenge to see who can tell us apart. This time with similar bikes and helmets 👯‍♀️.
