The official Bluesky account for Congressman André Carson of Indiana's 7th District. Fighting for you.
Thanksgiving is a time to gather, not worry about high grocery costs. Under the Trump administration, prices continue to increase and people are feeling it. Working families deserve better.

I’m proud to represent Indianapolis—which means representing our community’s needs.

No one should have to worry about heat in the winter. IndyEAP offers assistance with energy bills for eligible Marion County households. Go to indyeap.org to check eligibility.

Thank you to the bold students from Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School for writing to me about the importance of protecting immigrant communities. Your voices matter, and our future is bright with leaders like you. I will continue working to ensure fairness and opportunity for all.

I am honored to serve as the Ranking Member of House Aviation Subcommittee. There was perhaps no better reminder of the importance of safe, reliable air travel than earlier this month, when travelers experienced delays and cancelations at major airports because of the government shutdown. L

The Indiana Senate has said it will not vote on unfair redistricting.

To the legislators who stood firm, faith leaders, concerned citizens, organizers, and volunteers: thank you. This is what happens when we make our voices heard.

Can you afford to pay $17,000 more in 2026 for the same health insurance you have now? Of course not.
November 7, 2025 at 9:49 PM
Experiencing delayed flights and crowded airports? The Trump administration is slowing air traffic volume because of the shutdown, and because exhausted air traffic controllers aren't getting paid.

While President Trump is playing politics with SNAP benefits and while MAGA Republicans are preventing federal employees from receiving their paychecks, Hoosier families still have to eat.

Indiana lawmakers will convene on Dec 1 to unfairly redraw our congressional districts 5 years early.

Just last week, my office helped an Indy resident get back $10,000 in Social Security payments. This is the type of work my office does every day — & what's at risk with this blatant power grab.
November 3, 2025 at 5:33 PM
My district in Indianapolis is the only majority-minority district. Mid-decade redistricting is just an attempt to silence dissent.

How can Hoosiers fight unfair
redistricting? As soon as next week, the Indiana Statehouse will vote on this issue. You should contact your state representative AND your state senator. Find your state lawmakers here: iga.in.gov/information/...

In the midst of grocery prices already increasing, President Trump and MAGA Republicans are choosing to suspend SNAP benefits in November leaving nearly 42 million Americans without food. It's time to stop playing politics with hungry seniors, children, and veterans and release the SNAP funds.
October 28, 2025 at 9:08 PM
To do Trump's bidding on redistricting — and go against what Hoosiers have said they want — is a grave mistake.
October 28, 2025 at 8:18 PM
Both parties in Indiana are opposed to redistricting. We will not allow Washington DC to bully our state.
October 24, 2025 at 3:41 PM
The government is still shut down, but my office is open and serving constituents.

Yesterday, I met with Advocacy Works, a free, 6-month professional development program from the Indiana Black Legislative Caucus Education Foundation.

Trump’s redistricting plan is a blatant attempt to silence Black voters.

I sent out a survey to Indy residents to see how you'll be impacted by skyrocketing healthcare costs if Republicans don't act.

Thousands of you responded, and it's abundantly clear: Hoosiers just can't afford it.

Today, millions across the country are attending peaceful No Kings rallies. Amid Trump administration attacks on free speech, it’s important to know your rights. Save this card and take it with you, or download it here: brandfolder.com/indivisiblep...

"Premiums are likely to double or even triple next year because of Republican cuts to the ACA. We will not be able to afford this drastic increase…my husband is 62 years old.”

Folks like Jackie are exactly why Democrats are fighting so hard.

Day 15 of the government shutdown. Americans are receiving notices that in 2026, their healthcare costs will double.
October 15, 2025 at 9:42 PM
$17,000 more just to pay for basic health insurance is insane.

I don't know if my Republican colleagues understand what it's like to not be able to afford healthcare.
October 14, 2025 at 2:45 PM
JD Vance, Hoosiers don't want mid-decade redistricting.

What we do want is for Republicans to end their government shutdown and prevent healthcare costs from skyrocketing. indianacapitalchronicle.com/briefs/new-p...

Even though President Trump and Republicans shut down the government, my office remains open and committed to serving you.

The Trump administration just eliminated $6.7 million in clean energy funding for Indianapolis International Airport's award-winning solar farm. I'm fighting to get this funding back because it belongs to Indianapolis, not President Trump.
