There will be civil war in the US long before anything remotely like it happens here. Amazon shedding 30k jobs in favour of AI is another piece of the foundations faltering. People will rise up as they lose their jobs and access to healthcare.

The interesting point of this election is the turnout. Over 50%, for a by-election, is rare. It's clear people came together to stop Reform taking the seat and that they no longer trust Labour either.

It's not in the least bit surprising. Trump has lived a life full of scams, lies and so-called 'deals'. He will have cut numerous corners and upset a lot of people. There are ALWAYS receipts. I just hope he has to see the inside of a cell before he dies.

When the bid for the World Cup was agreed, it was on the basis of three visitor-friendly nations co-operating. That can no longer be the case when Trump treats his neighbours as enemies, and visitors have a strong chance of being denied entry or held in custody for no reason whatsoever.
