Burnt Offerings by Robert Marasco has a nice slow build. I really liked Revelator by Daryl Gregory - it's a kind of gothic monster story. From Below, by Darcy Coates is wonderfully scary.

I very much enjoyed this one. The whole premise was really cool.

I work at a women’s college in New England. I drive a dark grey Subaru. If I didn’t park in the same area of the parking garage every day finding my car would be a real challenge.

Also, checking books out from the library is how I discover authors whose books I will be buying in the future, or series that I want to own.

I loved that book so much.

Are you also going to be working to replace Republican Senators? Because while I agree that the surrender caucus has to go, replacing 47 Senators with a better 47 is just bringing a much sharper knife to a gunfight.

Also, don't forget that there are 52 Republicans who voted yes, despite the huge public outcry about healthcare costs. They are also to blame. We need to hold them accountable, too.

Same. I wish it was $20/day.

Local elections are also really important for addressing housing affordability. Your municipal government is where zoning and development decisions get made.

It's not the premium for me, either. It's the deductible, which is going up $800. I'm a cancer survivor, and follow-up care and monitoring means that I max out my deductible every year.

I think it's the natural progression of a previous trend of claiming neurodivergence when a guy was called out for behaving in a creepy or inappropriate manner towards women. It was bullshit then, too.
