so great game, penetrated the anti-souls forcefield, and is dirt cheap in steam sales lately since they want people invested before the sequel in january. i'll definitely be in on the sequel when it comes out, the hook for it in the true ending is pretty solid.

that bit actually saved my ass once, after defeating a boss your health is filled and you get all your healing charges back. on one of the late game bosses i died, but my partner finished off the last bit of the boss' health so i got the full heal before the death animation finished.

the world and characters are cool, the boobs are massive and boing (we've all seen that one gif) and giving you the option of always having a computer controlled partner makes it a lot more approachable than other soulslikes.

the second boss is incredibly frustrating and unfun to fight, the early areas are boring to explore and you don't have the cool stuff that makes the combat fun yet. once you're past the god damn butterfly though things really take off.

i have not popped off on beating a final boss in a videogame in quite some time, this game fucking rules. shame all its bad parts are right at the god damn start.

many years ago i played pretty much every n64 racing game trying to find something new, i got really into extreme-g through that and also gained an appreciation for the rush series but god, that lamborghini game and aerogauge are probably among the worst racers of that generation
