Something similar happened with my giant cat a few years ago. Loud crashing noise scared the crap out of him while he was lying on my chest, he used my neck as a launching pad, & I ended up looking like a vampire attacked me.
Not cat’s fault, but it scared the crap out of me & hurt like hell!
