We're in trouble. The canary in the coal mine died. What now?
We were definitely thrilled to be in the SB, but wary they would let us down. Then they were up 28-3 and life was good. It made the outcome all the more cruel.

Good. Get all these wackjobs out of positions of responsibility.
November 29, 2025 at 9:30 PM
Yeah but how did that game end? Is there any other Super Bowl that you can name the score in the 3rd quarter off the top of your head?

I think you’re doomering too hard. I don’t think GOP congresscritters are gonna put their necks out that far for Trump when he’s on his way out and historically unpopular.
November 29, 2025 at 8:51 PM
Oh yeah good point
November 29, 2025 at 5:29 PM
They also enjoy killing brown people
November 29, 2025 at 5:28 PM
That would be a great centerpiece for a 2028 campaign about affordability. Also think how many people’s ideas about starting a business are stopped by having to have healthcare?
November 29, 2025 at 5:27 PM
Nope. We’re in the shit for another 3 years.

Next admin should recognize the ICC and ship him off

Private insurance is huge business. They’ll just bribe Trump to block it. Big problem with having a corrupt POTUS.
November 29, 2025 at 5:11 PM
I disagree. I’m less worried about inconveniencing drivers than pedestrians. If we really want these then convert the road to more walking space, bike lanes, and separate lanes for these things so they’re not in people’s way.
November 29, 2025 at 5:08 PM
I don’t think it should be illegal but I also don’t think we should cede our public spaces to businesses
November 29, 2025 at 4:58 PM
Well, they do know what the next class is likely to be. I dunno if it was the right call but it's maybe not so bad.
November 29, 2025 at 3:48 PM
I am also not a fan of those
November 29, 2025 at 3:46 PM
Uh... what happened at the end of that season?
November 29, 2025 at 3:44 PM
I have no knowledge one way or the other but I wouldn't read something from a16z if you paid me
November 29, 2025 at 3:42 PM
I mean maybe. I'm just old and used to having a powerful local environment (that being a MBP with a lot of memory). I can see the appeal of cloud compute but just haven't wanted to have to figure out setting it up.

One of the biggest problems in our society today is that software engineers / data scientists think that they're educated when they're really just trained.
November 29, 2025 at 3:36 PM
None of my software engineering jobs have been interested in my art degree
November 29, 2025 at 3:34 PM
Dawgs won so it was a good game
November 29, 2025 at 3:29 PM
I know some product devs do the same but I'm not a fan. I like having a beefy machine and something like a mac mini is under $500 and could be used for this.
November 29, 2025 at 3:26 PM
Funny how reportedly cocaine prices have dropped a lot with us pulling Feds off of drug interdictions and onto harassing brown people. Almost like it's not about drugs at all.

Also MCP servers are largely not run as shared services. It's something you run locally with your credentials to interact with a tool.
November 29, 2025 at 3:15 PM
Uh... one of my coworkers uses gpt-oss running locally for some stuff. You can choose the model in the tool and you can point it at your local one. It works okay for simple tasks.
