Facts care about my feelings.
I think my favourite part is the bits of the British Raj left in grey

(I’m sure all their unhappiness will disappear when net migration is down to 100k)

If anything wages rising maybe even makes it worse, because people probably think they earned the pay rise due to their own hard work, and when they find out all their “hard work” has not resulted in them getting a higher standard of living it makes them bitter

Not enough, you need to be provoked into saying the type of guy Sultana is most like is Tom Harwood

No, he doesn’t. He still thinks he’s frolicking in the shallow end

(This is not to say I wouldn’t reform the judicial process if I could, because I would, but those are ideological “how things would work in my utopia” reforms, not “this needs to be done right now or the whole thing collapses” reforms)

I broadly agree, although both prisons and policing are areas where reforms are needed alongside more money, while the courts imho just need more money thrown at them. But I agree you probably need to start with prisons and then work backwards

God I love this party so much. We must cherish them, they are bringing so much joy in these tough times

This is why it’s very puzzling (and depressing) that the current government didn’t make fixing the criminal justice system a priority. It’s an area where relatively little money would sort it out, it’s not a money pit and you’d see almost instant results

All hail the cursed ratio

So close to another glorious 52%-48% result

If Greece were a former Warsaw Pact country, at least one of them would now be a centrist free market party

Ironically nothing to do with Chelsea (partners of my other half’s friends). Even weirder is they are all second generation immigrants

Personally I think that’s a bit of terminal lucidity wrt Kemi, but the broader point is true

It is kind of incredible how both parties have had “our polling numbers go up when we go studs up on Nigel, particularly on Russia” moments in the past 18 months and their conclusion is continuously “must be nicer to Nigel”
