Look, uh, I am very sorry to report that he (his staff) also made a website to oppose the development, which to be clear, includes 12,000 sq m of retail including a grocery store, a new park, a daycare, and a woonerf.

I just don't know why a layperson should really respect the planning process in Toronto when the townhouses at left are the outcome while the six-plexes (and single stair too?) I don't believe can be built like this anymore

But, like, you look on a population density map of the GTA and you can see the case for commuter rail. For Winnipeg at the same scale, there just isn't the same network of suburbs/towns. You can barely even see Gimli on the map. Maybe for summer tourism, but...

Unfortunately, it's about 1000 m in Toronto vs 700 m in LA. But one of these walks is going to be a lot more pleasant and it's not the shorter one.
