As part of Governor Newsom's statewide strategy to address homelessness, the State Action for Facilitation on Encampments (SAFE) Task Force partnered with Long Beach last week, helping shelter 25 people & 8 pets in a recently opened state-funded Homekey shelter.

California launches mental health challenge to support boys & young men! 🧠🎬

In partnership with Youth Creating Change, CA is supporting a media challenge for youth ages 12-25 to encourage young people to ask for help & support their peers, as part of the Directing Change Film Contest.

The Trump administration's cuts to homeless housing funding threaten housing for older adults, families with children, veterans, people with disabilities & transition-aged youth in California as well as people served by Medi-Cal, CalFresh, CalWORKs & foster care systems.
“The Trump Administration’s proposed cuts would worsen the homelessness crisis by pulling funding from permanent housing and putting tens of thousands of Californians at risk. This would undo years of progress and destabilize our neighbors who finally found a safe place to live and stability. It’s harmful policy that will lead to devastating health outcomes.
