Here's another vintage Smirnoff ad from 1977 advertising two ways to serve vodka at a dinner party: a vodka soda (possibly the most normal cocktail in existence) and vodka mixed with cold beef bouillon (a product of a generation raised on lead paint)

I used to keep a note of them and when they were submitted as I'd usually submit them after a few beers and forget. When they were published, I'd be 'Is that mine? Sounds like something I'd come up with when I'm pissed'.

I've already disabled the AI Mode search from the settings and enabled Google Web as default, but it looks like they have come up with another way of forcing AI search down the throats of everyone who's done just that.

I've joked in the past that if someone was to send the Marketing Manager of a club one of those scam emails promising them $30m for helping them move a fortune out of their country, they would probably fall for it.

Stories like this make me think we are a few steps closer to it actually happening.
