What I find most amusing about this hypothetical is that it jumps straight to pencils and paper, when anyone using AI already has an Internet capable device.
Like, even BEFORE you get to drawing, there's SO MANY free ways to create art using a computer THAT DON'T USE AI.

It’s a bit funny to me when folks accuse anti-AI artists of “gatekeeping.” My dude, Midjourney charges you $60 a month for images, while real artists remind you that you can make it for free and experience the joy of the process. So who’s really gatekeeping?

If RWBY ever comes back, the new plotline will only be understandable if you've watched the storyboard-only deleted ending scenes from volume 9 that were originally only on Rooster Teeth's website plus read full two tie-in novels.
After "film trilogy that dropped a critical plot point exclusively via timed Fortnite event" and "video game series whose story only makes sense if you're aware of the events of a canon pachinko machine", I feel like there are whole frontiers of user-hostile narrative design waiting to be explored.

"No one is angry about games not containing gen AI" is such a hell of a good point. It is incredibly off-putting to many customers, an absolute deal-breaker, yet there is no flip side to that, no consumer base clamouring for it, no demand. They can only try to wear people down into accepting it.

Non-industry compromised scientists keep saying these models don't become safe, no matter what, but people keep thinking just because the concept of guardrails is mentioned it must work. By definition, it doesn't. This is not something open to discussion, unless you're a paid shill.
