I'm editing one book, I've started writing another, and I have plans for the one after that.

But, hold on, I'm just gonna jot down these opening paragraphs to yet another story that my brain has started writing without my permission...
Papa and I lived isolated in the sprawling old Seward house, alone except for my doctors and nurses, and the host of servants who always seemed to be crawling around the place. I don’t mention the other patients; I only ever saw them at tea. I do feel obliged, in the interest of clarity, to mention that when I wrote just now that Papa and I “lived” in the house, I only meant that my suite of rooms was ours, mine and Papa’s. We shared a parlor, a plumbed bath, and the little garden outside our connecting bedrooms’ French doors. But of course Papa no longer lived in our rooms. Papa died long ago, and he never did come back.

A spreadsheet tallying page and word counts for book chapters. The first five of nine chapters have totals, which add up together to 72 pages and 16,449 words. The first six chapters have titles: 1. One of the many things I love about you, Igor, is how fascinatingly literal-minded you are.” “I’m literal-minded? Nah, no I’m not. For example, I use metaphors all the time. Metaphors are a great way to add interest and color to your storytelling. I mean, if a literal-minded person heard you talking about ‘the many things I love about you,’ they’d think you actually meant that you love me.” I snorted a laugh.
