I do not know, which bootloader you are using in case you are using grub you want to install grub-hook and then reinstall the kernel.
If you use systemd-boot then you need to create the entry manually in /boot/loader/entries and there copy the "linux.conf" and change inside the files to cachyos

i need to clean up a lot of packages but i'm incredibly happy with how i have things set up! this has been a very nice change of pace from having things Forcefully Added to my computer like copilot or whatever. @cachyos.org has been fantastic and is the best arch-based distro i've tried. very good.

Yes, the CachyOS Community is really awesome and quite "unique" in the linux space.
