We offer a no-cost model with Gemini which works great to get started. But moving to using a paid API key with Gemini, or Open AI or Anthropic is recommended over time to get access to the best models with higher rate limits.

We have AI features in Android Studio, leading with agent mode. Gemini comes as a bundled provider but you can also use local or remote models now. And you don't have to login to use them.

I think it’s less that and more Material is used as Google’s design system for 1p apps that run across platforms, and they have found going against certain native platform behaviors is bad for the user.

Oh I wonder if this could be used to paste into Figma also. I assume it retains all the syntax highlighting sans background?

It’s also a third party plugin, so it’d likely require a security review, and someone to constantly build, merge, and monitor the sources, which doesn’t have the highest ROI given one can easily install it from the marketplace.
