I love a gathering to have a feast of seasonal produce with the people I love during the dark and gloomy months of the calendar. I do not think it should in any way lionize the Pilgrims or what they heralded.

I am taking another stab at it because I would *rather* have the infrastructure of tradpub behind me, but if I have to sacrifice too much of myself to that, I'd rather have to shoulder the extra tasks and costs and keep the Tyler Level near 100%.

One of the reasons I am un-agented is because my previous agent and I differed on this point -- that I should try to incorporate more of what Big Publishing Wants. I don't think that view is necessarily wrong, but I do think it's definitely wrong for me.

Honestly I miss it; some of that is pure nostalgia for my youth/a time before the internet infiltrated every aspect of our daily lives, and some of it is that like you say it made it feel like "The Internet" was a unified thing, like everybody was building off the same canvas.

Cooking: The slow-cooked cabbage and apples are officially a hit and going into the rotation, though they are not something that makes good leftovers unfortunately. I need to pick something for December; I'm thinking maybe a baking project.
