Climate and science funding are being gutted at their most critical juncture.

And our communities wake up every day fearing a proto-police state that wants us gone.

I’ll leave it with this: There has never been a more urgent time to stand with journalists, especially journalists of color, and especially those who cover science and the environment.

Freedom of the press is under attack. Journalist Mario Guevara was just deported to El Salvador for his work.

What’s next for me? I’m not sure. I’m taking a beat to reorient. But I’ll be back soon.
