Oh, I can see that’s so clever and brilliantly done, but I had to stop watching. He upsets me too much!

(Just the snippet reinforced what a cracking song it is though!)

👏👏👏 That’s a brilliant spot amongst all those words! 😁

I liked this song. Lots of words and a strong chorus 👍😊

I know Sly and Robbie, of course. It was driving me crazy to think of the name of the track I knew – Boops! I can see why I forgot it! 😂 I hadn’t realised how influential they‘ve been – they’ve played with everyone! Bob did well to pick ‘em 👍😊

Timeless and infectiously catchy 😁

You can kind of hear the smile in her voice as she sings, can’t you? So uplifting!
December 2, 2025 at 12:02 AM
I think I just assumed it was going to be a day of reggae/Ska/calypso type sounds. Clearly, people are being a lot more Mavericky than that - so I was very glad to hear your choice 😂

She was just fab, wasn’t she! According to wiki, she was one of 13 siblings. She also recorded with Prince Buster before Chris Blackwell discovered her.

Really interesting to hear some contemporary Jamaican pop - and lovely to see the tradition of strong female musicians is continuing 💪

🎵 Take her to Jamaica where the rum comes…from!🎵

Loved this one! Such a joyous sound - and well over 70 years old but still sounding fresh 🥰
December 1, 2025 at 11:41 PM
I’m sure there is - but there’s also an excellent curator of her stuff who seems to effortlessly be able to find what’s needed, whatever the challenge! 😂

Well I never! There was me thinking, this is the groove I expected to be hearing in today’s challenge and it turns out she’s Japanese/American! 😮 😁

Loved it though! She has a great voice and I was grooving along to the rhythm in bed 👍 😁😎
