After a recent rewatch, I think Partners in Crime might be my favourite Doctor Who series premiere. Very close call between that and The Eleventh Hour. It made me feel like a little kid again. Despite first seeing it when I was 16.
I still greatly miss Bernard Cribbins.

I genuinely feel pissed off at people who STILL use talking points similar to "it's not censorship if a storefront refuses to sell a thing, it's just business" and "they have every right to not stock goods", especially in the "only a few megacorps" era. It was bad 10 years ago and bad now.

People who bring up Zack Snyder any time modern DC is talked about are obnoxious and need to move on, and **this is regardless of if their position is intended to be pro or anti Zack**.

Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, and Morocco (plus Turkey and Georgia which are more ambiguously Asian or European) have all competed in Eurovision.
Completely support Spain, Ireland, Slovenia, and the Netherlands' boycott, but "Israel isn't geographically in Europe" is such a dumb rhetorical gotcha.

Much like “pretending” to be trans for some imagined advantage, the hoops you would have to jump through to game the accommodations process are so ludicrously high that this is not a particular concern of anyone who has tried to get accommodations.
Balancing "no person with a disability should be denied accommodations" with "it's important to discourage non-disabled people from pretending to be disabled to take advantage of these accommodations" is really difficult and I don't have a great answer for what anyone should do about it.

I would be so much more receptive to opinions not shared my me of post-2005 Doctor Who and Sherlock (along with other pop culture) if so many takes weren't so obviously "delegating my critical faculties to someone else's viral post or a video essay".
