Scooter Software makes it and it’s invaluable for comparing files and folders. If you have to do any kind of code merging it’s a prize beyond price. I personally pay out of pocket for a license for it and for winzip to use at work.

I really hate iOS’s new EN/FR keyboard designed to support both English and French but the autocorrect seems to randomly pick which language it’s going to use to do the check.

We’ve learned that treaties with the US can be ignored and broken by any future president that your voters could elect, and a large percentage of said voters are vulnerable to electing an authoritarian con man, so we can never, ever, count on or trust the US again. 🤷♂️

I suppose the silver lining is we in Canada now realize we had an awful lot of eggs in one basket, and stupidly assumed that the president that tore up the existing 30 year trade agreement to create his own agreement in 2019 would actually honour his commitments 6 years later.

Hey I’m not gonna complain if they stop circumcising guys. My only regret is that by the time the current crop hits 18, I’ll be almost 80.
Meh - as it is, I already tend to consider anyone under 50 an ovum, even though there are a lot of pretty 30s and 40s guys I enjoy ogling.

The “growing-up-speaking-franglais” trauma is real. When you try to extrapolate the French words for the expressions you only know in English.

If you tell me the dress code is formal, I’ll assume that by default it’s black tie and show up in a tux. 🤵♂️ Which is very uncomfortable/embarrassing when everyone else is in business casual.

The problem comes when they invite dinosaurs like me to whom “formal wear” has a very precise meaning and which comes in few variations: black tie ( I.e. a tuxedo or dinner jacket), white tie (tailcoat and wing collar), or morning (morning coat, striped trousers).

Just a heads up re “formal wear.” I recently discovered my younger work colleague, who send out the invites to office events, have a different definition of formal wear than I do. To them it means smart casual business wear - suits, blazers over trousers, dress shirts, etc.

I like raisins in sweets and in savouries like Coronation Chicken sandwiches, curried rice pilaf, or atop a Pizza Hut Curaçao pizza along with tuna and Gouda. What can I say, I’m Raisin Crazy!

I love raisins and have never understood this weird raisin hate so many people have. I always said the major division in Canada is not English vs French, West vs East, Toronto vs Vancouver but is instead Butter Tarts with Raisins vs those without.
