Driven Toyotas for more than two decades and am currently car shopping. Guess what just got crossed off my list?

My decade-old hybrid still gets 55mpg. I can commute for a week on a seven gallon tank. My rural county is full of gas guzzling, overbuilt pickup trucks and the amounts on the pump when I pull up behind one make me shudder.

I live in a rural area w/o public transit so I spend a lot more time in a car than I'd like. When I drive, I sing. Like, top of my lungs, full volume, seat dancing bops meant to lower my BP. Everyone driving past is dour faced and often smoking, even at 7AM. At stops, I hear a lot of AM talk radio.

I've had this on my car since February 2020. The only sticker I have *ever* put on a vehicle.

No, thank goodness.

It is wild to be fixated on #Reylo again (as my kid would say) "in the big 25."
