So many great cartoons sum up the intense privilege that Christians enjoy, and abuse, in the US. Sadly, it was a joke 40 years ago in Calvin & Hobbes, and something people treat seriously today.

The South ultimately won the Civil War. I believe it will be nearly impossible to elect a Democrat in 2028 due to subversion of the democratic process.

This AI generated picture of Trump seems to draw pretty directly from Warhammer 40k imagery. For those who don't know, 40k is about a grimdark fascist dystopian future where women are nothing more than breeding stock.

40k is supposed to be a parody, but they're taking like a "how to" manual.

This was basically one of the main plot lines in THX-1138.

Trump will likely successfully use this argument in court to prevent the files from ever being released.

Nope. I talk to mine all the time. And since they're huskies, they're more than happy to talk back.

America's favorite queerbotherer is still bothering people. She's been at it for two decades now. There has to be a better hobby. Maybe figuring out how websites work?

I know it's not Wonder Woman, but I love this photo of all of us embodying Captain America / Captain Carter (I know she could lift Mjolmir too!)

(That's me as Captain Carter)

This was a terrible night for VA Republicans. Lost every competitive house race. Lost 6 of 14 lean R districts. Lost every "Lean D" district. Miyares lost to Jones by 6.6 points (!!!?) in the AG race. Sears lost to Spanberger by over 15 points. Polls radically over-estimated R turnout based on 2024.

I'm surprised Weiss didn't ask if Inspector Clouseau was available.

Like Glinner, her obsession with hating trans people ended her marriage. I feel zero sympathy: she has destroyed the lives of so many trans young people, their families, and created a political climate so hostile that I believe straight up Aktion T4 genocide is a non-trivial probability.

From Ryan Burge and Paul Djupe over at the hellsite:

"58% of Americans agree that "God created different roles for men and women."

44% agree that "God designed men for leadership roles in the church."

Complementarianism is really pervasive."

I'm taking seat 7: the only two beings on the flight who could describe the light of the two trees of Valinor, having witnessed them personally (one as a young elf, and the other as a Maiar lieutenant to the Valar Melkor aka Morgoth).

Yes, I read the Silmarillion.

Twice.

I am that sicko.

Why not both? Weiss is likely to going to fail spectacularly by being wildly unqualified, unlikable, and pushing opinions that revolt CBS News core viewing audience, while turning it into a shill for baseless conservative talking points.

No dear, we already have Lancet at home.

This is the most accurate depiction of 70s vintage American cars ever. My father owned a 74 Vega. It's battery exploded all over him in the garage, and then the engine blocked followed shortly after in 1977 with <30k miles on it. The hulk was towed out of our driveway, never to move again.

I love BG3.

I hated Elden Ring. It's the only game I've asked for a refund on via Steam. My biggest issues was there was no identifiable plot hooks, just run around randomly and get killed / kill stuff, and it was unplayable on PC without using a game controller (I don't use a game controller).
