Yup. Because we have far more content given to us from celebrities on social media than we can consume, we see them all the time in media, so it’s less compelling to go to see a movie simply from interest in the star.

that point right there is the conundrum of social media traffic - increased everyday interaction but little of it brings any real financial return, and it like you said once I see your IG photos I don't need to see you on my TV or movie screen as much

Red One has a chance to change feature biz. By sending everyone scurrying back to medium budgets and less bloated “star power.” All that has to happen is to convince studios they’ll hit their shareholder numbers more consistently with singles and doubles than home runs and strikeouts.

It’s kinda cool to start over with a social media platform. Maybe they all get stale after a certain amount of time.
I’m still dubious of the net positive of social media, but it’s woven into our culture.
