My kid asked what an academic roundtable was. I told her the story of King Arthur and the Knights of the Roundtable. The presenters all defend their arguments like knights. The commentator is King Arthur.

Packed the house last night for a side research topic of mine. A cultural history of tunnels beneath Columbus, Ga. Local artist, Cathy Fussell made the most amazing quilt based on these rumors.

My department hosted a book talk for me (with book cake!). To say that it gave me all the feels would be an understatement. Such a great community!
