I'm reading this. It's a compelling story. BUT...I think words are missing from the bottom of quite a few pages. This is a UK edition. Anyone else got a copy? See bottom p 110 especially

Highlight of my day. Getting up the stairs and down. Once. With crutches of course! I managed to read one chapter of a memoir. My concentration is almost zero. But that's one chapter!

It's 22.48 in the UK. I'm doing ok. Kind off! I had my hip op at 2pm. I'm wide awake and reading one page at a time of Little Fires Everywhere but though I'm enjoying it my concentration isn't there.

After yesterday's workshop I re-wrote the first chapter of my novella. This morning I wandered out into the sunshine, after the rain stopped. I can't walk far but I saw this.

I've finished reading the proofs for my 3rd novel (self-publishing). My emotions are mixed. Pride, fear & anxiety, whatever-did-I-do-this-for, excitement, madness. "Longshore Drift" comes out next spring. It's set in a fictitious Dungeness, a large shingle bank in Kent, UK. (My own photo)

I managed to shuffle along to the sea at Rye Harbour yesterday. I'm going in for a hip replacement on 14th November. I had the right one done 4 years ago. Now it's time for the left one.

I've been having a clear out. Books. Clothes etc. I didn't realise how valuable this edition of Ariel was. It's not going to the charity shop! I'm keeping it. Belonged to my mum
