I need to record some new AR footage but thought I'd at least bring this prototype footage over from the bird app.

I'm working on a game, OverRuin, blending MMORPG gameplay with the real world.

I'm using AR + GPS + Open Street Maps to spawn encounters all over the planet!

Here I am on a loot run:
I've been trying out the Meta Ray-Ban Smart glasses over the past week.

By far the best Bluetooth headphones I've ever owned. The sound quality is impressive but they're so personal and open-ear.

The battery life is fine. The camera is fun and practical but the quality is fine.

Needs more AR!

I just had a fan _call_ me about, Happy Friday!, a game that I worked on over a decade ago!

That's so cool!!

An early version of a Sega Saturn game was secretly featured in Mallrats!

Kevin Smith and his production team were swindled by Sega who lied about a cross promotion that would never happen.

I'm gonna flog this dead horse, but Half Life 2 is free on Steam today. If you haven't played it, PLAY IT.

And if you care about games or game dev at all, play it again with dev. commentary on. It's a masterclass and you will learn so many vital things.

I hope non-game devs understand how harder game dev, especially #IndieGameDev, has become in 2024.

🚀 We're Kickstarting Bitter Silver b/c we're trying to make a personal #indiegame love letter to Cowboy Bebop & there's no other way.

😸 Follow our Kickstarter (link in our bio) to help us out.

Working a day job to pay for game dev at night is a lot more common than I thought.

Jacky, Trent, Luca and everyone else at Gentleland, are guiding me to bring my dream to reality. The past 6 months have been tough but I'm starting to generate income and I'm PUMPED 🤘🔥

Reach out to them!
Feeling overwhelmed is a completely natural feeling when it comes to launching a Kickstarter.

- Constantly adjusting the page to perfection.
- Making sure everything is lined up and ready to go
- Preparing for your schedule for the next 30 days.

Launch day can be exciting, but scary.

If you’re a dev or are interested in game dev I’d highly highly recommend you play/experience The Making of Karateka. It’s so interesting! Playing through all the in progress builds as well as the modern reimagined games was a lot of fun too. www.digitaleclipse.com/games/karateka

honestly fair. okay I’m not far enough in BG3 yet (still in the Underdark) so reply or quote this with your favorite video game bug. bonus points if it’s from your own game
I said "no let's not make this like twitter" and y'all said "no these big twitter accounts dictate things for us" and now we have a different shitty dude every 33 hours and "clocks are ableist". This what y'all wanted instead of talking about Armored Core 6 and Baldur's Gate 3

I'd like to share a tool I made. I developed it because the current options out there (e.g. Twine, Inkle Writer) are missing key features that would make them useful to me.

Noodle Weaver - A tool used to create interactive stories.

If there's interest, I can polish it up!

Mockup vs actual gameplay. This is a game I'm working on, OverRuin, an AR RPG.

As a programmer I always feel a bit of shame that I can't quite bring the live product to the level of quality that the artist envisions, but sometimes technical challenges that get in the way, like implementing shadows.
